On
June 29, 2004 (on the Feast of St. Peter and Saint Paul) St.
Peter's Episocopal Church welcomed Reverend David Tuck. He is a member of
the SPG, a Church of England Society who founded St. Peter's Church before the
Revolutionary War.
In a recent correspondence, Rector Fr. Tuck expressed,
"I'm helping the Episcopal Church in this current initiative -- exploring
with some of the historic parishes in the Episcopal Church founded by SPG before
the Revolution, the possibility of a renewed link with USPG as it seeks to become
less a totally Church of England body and more of a global agency of the Anglican
Communion. Returning to our roots is what this is all about. It's a privilege
to be invited to Clarksboro and I greatly look forward to meeting you all.
A service was held at St. Peter's Church, followed by a lunch and program.
Rev. Dennis W. Nichols is the rector of St. Peter's Church.
