About this site - Contact Me GUEST BOOK

Due to problems with "spammers and "advertizers" taking over my guestbook with multiple entries (which deleted the guesbook entries that I wanted to remain) I REMOVED the original guestbook from this site. Since then the free guestbook host has fixed the problems with spam.

I have a guestbook for my Gloucester County NJ site, that you may feel free to use to post your messages.

I really enjoyed all of your information on Mt. Royal. It was very helpful, in making my decision to purchase a home here. I was wondering if there is a web site on how to look up info. on the history of my home?

Maggie, if you look under the "Genealogy" section of the web site, at
'Land Records and Deeds' you can learn how to research all previous owners of your house. I will email you separately with more details! Thank you for your kind comments. Welcome to town!

I was the first Activities Director at Shady Lane Homestarting in Dec. of 1976. I knew and took care of many East Greenwich residents many I am sure you remember. My question is: do you know how I can get old lists of residents at the Home? Your
site is well done!

Albert, I just emailed you separately about your question. Nursing home resident lists are usually confidential, so I'm not sure you will be able to get one. But I'll provide you with the administrator's email.

Wonderful website. Just amazing. I research SAILER family genealogy. Thank you for the history on Sarah Sailer and the HISTORY OF "DEATH OF YE FOX INN." I am trying to connect my Samuel (abt 1778-1831) and Hannah Sailer and their ten
children of Mount Holly, New Jersey to the Sailer family in East Greenwich. Would greatly appreciate if anyone can direct me to other Sailer facts.

I am very interested in this area as my grandfathers farm is listed in your record of land holdings. I have been trying to figure out if it is the farm I lived on till I was in the second grade, although I think where we lived at that time, came under Greenwich Township. Very interesting material. Thanks for posting it all.

Hi Janice, I am just starting my "ancestor quest" and am interested in the Edlington Cemetery in Clarksboro. I know my grandparents Wade H. Kandle and Mary Catherine Cramer Kandle are buried in a cemetery there. I don't know where to go to get more information about their grave sites. I now live in Kentucky, so getting to the cemetery would be a problem. I tried to email you but I am on
a public server and couldn't. Thanks for putting this web page up I know it takes a lot of work to keep one going.

Tina, I just sent you a separate e-mail on how to find out more about your family buried in Eglington Cemetery, and I've added more contact information on the cemetery to my web site as a result of your inquiry. The reason this web site exists is to help people who are researching at a distance (which many of us are). My best
to you!

Good luck to the Serys on preserving the setting of the Death of the Fox Tavern. As the Ladd house can sadly illustrate, the setting is an improtant component of the structure.

Dear Janice,Thank you for this very important contribution to our community. Your efforts are sincerely appreciated! As new residents of the "old Jackson Place" my wife and I would very much like to talk with you about it as our restoration of the property continues. Located across the tracks from the old Clarksboro RR station, I have been told that it was one of the original 13 houses in East Greenwich
at the time of incorporation. If you feel that it would be appropriate for inclusion on your site, we would be happy to contibute photos and what we know about the history of the place...We have the original deeds from the late 1800s and some other tidbits of history that might interest you!Best Regards, -Bob

Mike, thanks for the information about the Ladd House. I went out and visited it, took photos and put together a history of the house, along with the family's genealogy. From the East Greenwich web site, you can find this by going to History > History
of Gloucester County > scroll down and click on "Gloucester County USGenWeb" > scoll down to "New to Site" and select > History of Candor Hall (W. Deptford NJ) and Genealogy of the LADD Family. Enjoy!
