An excellent
crowd gathered at the Samuel Mickle School on August 3, 2004 -- National Night
Out. Many families were present to participate in this annual event focusing on
safety, and as a going-away party for crime and substance abuse.
This free celebration was held from 6:30 to 9:30 PM at the SAMUEL
MICKLE SCHOOL, with free trolley transportation from parking lots at the MOUNT
ROYAL FIRE COMPANY, the EAST GREENWICH FIRE COMPANY and MICKLETON PARK.
Attractions
included D.J. music, a rock climbing wall, free beverages, free National Night
Out giveaways, free popcorn, ice cream, hot dogs, and beverages, along with displays
and exhibits by the East Greenwich Municipal Alliance, East Greenwich Police Department,
Mount Royal Fire Company, East Greenwich Fire Company, East Greenwich Ambulance
Association, SODAT, Underwood-Memorial Hospital Mobile Intensive Care Unit, and
the American Red Cross.
See photographs below that tell the story of a great evening.
