I had the honor of being invited to the installation ceremony for Kimberle Barcus, the new Postmaster of Mickleton NJ.

In addition to the pledge of allegiance, and the singing of the national anthem, Dr. James Fish, Pastor of the Kingsway Baptist Church offered the invocation. I presented a brief history of the Mickleton post office.

Kimberle's brother, Charles A. Brown, PhD. gave us insight into his sister's warm personality, and focused career.

James F. Logan, Post Office Operations Manager, was the master of ceremonies, and he spoke in glowing terms of Kimberle's work ethic prior to her arrival in Mickleton. Joanna Korker, Lead Executive and District Manager for South Jersey, administered the actual oath of office.

Kimberli then offered some closing remarks, and so graciously presented small wrapped gifts to several individuals, invited guests, and co-workers, as a token of her appreciation.

Before and after the main portion of the installation, the U.S. Postal Service Choir of Philadelphia PA, with their simply inspiring voices, sang a variety of songs, and also led us in the national anthem.

Following the installation, Elder Willie Williams of Healing Wings Church of God in Christ, led us in benediction.

I will comment here that I was greatly impressed with the U.S. Postal Service Choir of Philadelphia. Their joyful voices and the fact that they were obviously having a great time singing, compelled my toes to tap and hands to clap.
