Tombstones in a MULLICA HILL (Harrison Twp) Cemetery
St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

Description: a small cemetery plot with several tombstones. I do not currently have a listing of those stones, however, I am providing information about the families of the tombstones I can positively identify.

This is located behind St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at 49 N. Main Street, however, none of these inscriptions seem to show up in the Gloucester County Historical Society on-line database.

Sorry folks, I arrived there without any writing material to visit the book store, and saw the cemetery, so I didn't write down any inscriptions. Due to the shade and condition of the stones, when I got home, I couldn't read some of them, so they are simply shown here without any inscription info. The photographs are high quality, so perhaps you can enhance them if you think they are your family. If you have more information about any of these tombstones, and would like to share, contact the webmaster at the link at the bottom of this page.

WILLIAMSON, Alexander
The inscription partially reads:
Father
Alexander Williamson died June 21, 1870 aged 75 yrs [so b abt 1795] so he probably was too old to be the Alexander Williamson below who was a Civil War veteran, but possibly he was related. More aptly he was the Alexander Williamson who appears to be born in Ireland shown in some of the censuses below. He had children, as the tombstone identifies him as "Father." His wife, Elizabeth [inscribed as "Mother] lies next to him.
